Gaming Computers: Processor, CPU, Memory, Video, Audio And Cheap Computers

Some of the latest forays in the entertainment industry have come from previously unexpected ventures: the gaming industry. The days of cheap, simple gaming seem all but lost in the wake of games with multi-millions of dollars spent on marketing development. It is assumed gaming computers must come at an exorbitant price. While those manufactured to order may well come at hefty prices, a cheap gaming computer is not effectively an oxymoron. Gaming computers may take some effort to keep economical. With research and some willingness to do assembly, cheap gaming computers may become available even to the most frugal spender.

Major brands such as Dell and Gateway make a fantastic deal about their respective gaming computers and the power each possesses. Alienware has also grown synonymous with gaming computers, and with the kinds of power in their machines to back the claim. Given the great number of things a person must consider when purchasing gaming computers, one of the big name companies may be chosen for their configuration out of comfort. All of the above sell gaming computers for under $2,000. Other companies such as Puget advertise their PCs as "cheap," but with even relatively low models around the $2,000 mark, it may not excite the frugal customer as much as the others.

The most inexpensive way to go about acquiring inexpensive gaming computers comes from the most logical solution: build one at home. Many programs come in extraordinarily user-friendly variations, and computer parts as well have progressed to the point of relatively simple installation. With abundant resources available online, it seems ludicrous to go any other route than homemade gaming computers.

A first consideration for any computer, but especially with gaming computers, is the CPU (central processing unit). Selecting a fitting processor could make or break a computer since it is singularly the most important part. Without something to process the information efficiently, the computer would have no capability whatsoever. Making direct comparisons between different products on the market may prove somewhat difficult. All processors have a given clock speed offered to suggest their power, but some can operate at lower clock speeds while performing more functions. The major companies that manufacture the veritable computer brains are Intel and AMD, but for price and proven performance, AMD edges out Intel for affordable gaming computers.

A few other things comprise the important factors of a gaming computer. Investing in a considerable amount of storage capacity for gaming greatly improves its overall quality. The RAM, or Random Access Memory, correlates to the space a computer will use. Hence it makes sense to purchase quality RAM to ensure optimal gaming experiences. Hard disk space, the space used to store information longterm, comes relatively cheaply and one can always purchase more as necessary.

Gaming computers require the best look and audio capabilities. Spending as much as possible on video cards now helps keep gaming computers usable a few years down. Concerning audio, many motherboards already handle much sound, so investing in a sound card may be extraneous. Still, for a gamer, a reasonably advanced card may come for around $100. It all depends on how much one wants to stress the sound from their gaming computers.

Finding economical gaming computers does seem to present a paradox of sorts. Big companies popular for their gaming do tend to ask a lot for their prestige and expertise. Still, constructing a computer may not pose as much difficulty as a novice might imagine. Cheap gaming is more feasible than once thought, and with some of the world's greatest creators choosing it as an outlet of expression, the timing to get into gaming could not better. So endeavor to do a little work at home, so a lot of playing can be done at home in turn.
